The SL930 is a power quality monitor, used to measure Voltage spikes and surges it will also measure frequency deviation. The SL930 is commonly used for fault finding in applications where sensitive electronic equipment is prone to locking up, especially computer equipment and electronic tills. The SL930 is battery powered and plugs directly into a 3 pin mains socket. It will record up to 4000 events.

The SL930 is easily configured to monitor the mains supply. Using the table below:

The SL930 is then left plugged into the mains supply for the duration of the tests. When the tests are complete, the SL930 is removed and connected to the computer where the data are extracted and the results shown in a tabular format:

Certain event can be viewed in a graphical format. This is an example of a 390V spike on a 110v system:
