Remote data access is now common place and with the SL-ACC19 GSM modem, this is now possible.

The SL-ACC19 allows any of the SL700 series data loggers to be installed in remote or mobile installations where connection to a conventional telephone point would be virtually impossible and the data logger accessed directly from your desk.

A data enabled SIM card is fitted to the modem and using mobile telephone technology, you can dial in and extract the stored data if it were sitting on the desk.

All functions are accessible, you can turn channels on or off, you can change sample rates and you can back up the stored data to your computer.

The data logger can even be programmed to dial out or send a text message in the event of an alarm condition occurring.

Typical applications include:

• Monitoring temperatures in fridges and freezers, automatically dialing out if the temperature rises above a predetermined limit.

• Monitoring flow through pipelines, logging flow rate on a day to day basis but also alarming if the flow rate increases above or below specified limits.

• Monitoring levels of product stored in storage towers. Using ultra-sonic level sensors, the level can be determined on a daily basis. Product usage can be calculated by looking at the stored data, ensuring the supply is never exhausted and as with the other solutions above, the unit will dial out or send a text message if the demand exceeds the supply and low levels are reached - calling you before your customer does!
