Following on from the hugely successful WH1080 & WH1090, the WH3080 is the next generation weather station now with solar powered transmitter module. A complete entry level weather station aimed at the home user / hobbyist.
Record:
- Temperature ( Indoors and Outside )
- Relative Humidity ( Indoors and Outside )
- Light Level (Lux and UV index)
- Wind Speed
- Wind Direction
- Atmospheric Pressure
- Rainfall
The WH3080 comprises of the external sensors to measure outside temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction, atmospheric pressure and rainfall. The WH3080 is also supplied with a solar panel to power the outside sensor suite and give solar light level measurements.
All measured parameters are displayed on the large LCD screen display. The WH3080 requires no connecting cable between the console and the remote weather transmitting sensors, with a typical sensor range of 60m (200ft). It can also display historical data. All measured parameters are available in either metric or imperial values.
The weather station will store up to 4080 readings and the software allows you to download the stored readings and display them in a graphical format. The readings are also stored in a database format for keeping your own weather history.
This weather station offers amazing value and comes with everything you need to set it up at home or in the office. A short mounting pole (56cm long) is provided which can be connected to a fence post or TV aerial pole (not supplied). The system comprises large (14.8(w) x 16.5(h) x 2.7(d) cm) screen LCD control panel, wind speed sensor, wind direction sensor, self emptying rain gauge, outside temperature sensor & transmitter, stub mast, sensor mounting arms, sensor cable harness, USB lead and PC software.
Features:
1) Large high contrast LCD screen
2) USB port for easy connection to your PC - USB lead included
3) All the weather data from the base station and weather history data with user adjustable measuring intervals can be recorded and uploaded to your PC
4) Free PC software for transferring weather data to PC and analysing
5) Rainfall data (inches or millimeters): 1-hour, 24-hour,one week, one month and total since last reset. Self emptying.
6) Wind chill and Dew point temperature display (°F or °C)

Transmitter / Console Pairing
Procedure
|
Please carry out the following instructions:
Bring both the console and transmitter into the
same room but more than 2m apart.
Remove the batteries from both.
Go and make a cup of coffee (or leave them
without batteries for 5 minutes) - This is important.
This next bit needs doing quite
quickly:
Put the batteries in the console
Within 30 seconds, put the batteries in the
transmitter.

Automatic Clock Reception
| The WH3080 receives the DSF clock signal from Germany. It is not always possible to pick this signal up from every location in the UK. The time signal is received by the outside transmitter module and for best reception, the wide face of the transmitter module should face ESE. Please follow the instructions below for adjusting the clock from European time to UK time.
| | Setting the Clock | The WH3080 will pick up the DSF clock signal from Germany. As this is a European clock, it is one hour ahead of UK time so an offset of -1 needs to be programmed into the console.
Press the 'Menu' button once and the clock will changed to 'Lcd5' - this is the contrast adjustment for the display. You can adjust the contrast at this point by pressing the up or down arrow keys. With 'Lcd5' showing, press the enter key. The display will change to 0 use the down arrow key to set this to -1 Press the 'Enter' key to accept. You can then leave the console to time out (30 seconds) or press the 'Enter' key until the time is displayed. | Calibrating The Pressure Readings
| If you have a reference site locally, you can calibrate the console to match the reference site. First of all, obtain the current pressure value from the reference site. Using the EasyWeather software, change the pressure setting from ABSOLUTE to RELATIVE In the box provided, enter the value from the reference site. The console will then track reference site with better accuracy. |
