With the introduction of more stringent food quality programs, it is now more important than ever for food manufacturers to have documentary evidence that the produce has been cooked or chilled for the required time periods.

The SL thermal barriers allow SL7000 series data loggers to pass through your oven or chiller to provide through process data logging and temperature profiling. The system is regularly used in tunnel ovens, rotary ovens, rack ovens, spiral freezers, blast freezers, powder coating and stove enameling or any application when the data logger is to be used at temperatures outside its defined limits.

When used in conjunction with the SL7000 series of data loggers, an accurate thermal profile of your heating or cooling application can be displayed in graphical or data table format. There are no trailing wires to get tangled in the conveyor or process, the whole system passes through your application giving you an accurate thermal profile of your process against time. The Thermal Barriers can hold two SL7000 series Loggers, Mini Barriers hold one. Different heights permit increased exposure temperature, see table below. Users can benefit from this system to provide documentary evidence that original equipment is still performing to specification. Diagnostics for improvement in energy saving and product quality are all made possible when using the thermal profiling system.
