Precision Monitoring in Pharmaceutical Environments
Client Challenge:
A pharmaceutical facility operating across multiple floors required a robust and accurate monitoring system to ensure compliance and maintain the integrity of sensitive environments. The focus was on ambient temperature control in laboratories, as well as precise monitoring of fridges and freezers used for storing temperature-sensitive materials. They were also required to demonstrate to their clients that certain agreed standards have been maintained.
The Solution:
A network of 12 wireless transmitters was installed throughout the site. Thanks to the long range of the transmitters, the system achieved full coverage without the need for repeaters, simplifying deployment and reducing maintenance overhead.
The system continuously monitors:
- Ambient temperatures in lab spaces
- Refrigeration units storing critical samples and materials
- Freezers operating at sub-zero conditions
- CO₂ levels, ensuring air quality and safety in controlled environments
With a temperature monitoring range from -20°C to +25°C, the system provides comprehensive oversight of all critical zones.
Why It Works:
This solution delivers real-time data and automated alerts, empowering the client to respond instantly to any deviations. The data logging allows them to present reports to their clients to validate their quality assurance. The absence of repeaters not only streamlined the installation but also reduced potential points of failure, making the system both cost-effective and highly reliable.
Impact:
The pharmaceutical client now benefits from:
- Continuous compliance with regulatory standards
- Improved operational efficiency through automated monitoring
- Reduced risk of product spoilage or data loss
- Quality assurance for their customer base.
